Back in 1992 Shadow Systems president, Kim Meseck, was a freelance teleprompter working with the crew at AT&T in their TV studio in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. During this time, several of the AT&T producers asked Kim if she could transcribe some of their programs. To sample her work, they asked Kim if she would "shadow" one of their existing transcriptionists. The result? The producers were pleased! Kim then began providing transciption services as Shadow Transcripts. Combining the transcrition and teleprompting businesses resulted in the incorporation of Shadow Systems in 1997. 

Transcription eventually out-paced teleprompting,
so Kim (and Shadow) devoted full time to corporate transcription. Word of Shadow's quality of service spread, and many independent video producers came to Shadow for their transcription needs as well.

To expand our service offerings, in 2004 Kim's husband Fred began providing his voiceover expertise to Shadow clients who require narration for their video programs.

It's been more then 25 years, and Shadow Systems continues to fulfill the transcription and voiceover needs of our corporate and independent production clients. The journey has truly been a labor of love! Almost all of our business is from personal referrals. We greatly appreciate the loyalty and trust of our clients; we never take their loyalty for granted and work hard to retain their trust.
